Upward has been one of the great ministries for churches in the past several years. Upward is a sports outreach ministry. Its base is basketball, but there are also now Upward football, soccer, cheerleading, etc. They have a great motto: Every child plays. Every child learns. Every child is a winner.

Just recently, the 23rd U.S. Futsal National Championship concluded on Sunday, July 13, 2008. This the largest, oldest and and most prestigious Futsal competition. It ended with teams from 13 different states winning medals.
