Do you have a blossoming Upward basketball program?  Great news for the ministry right?  On the other hand, it is bad news for those who have to administer the program.  Lots and lots of paper pushing and administration.

Good news is here!  As a model for what is to come Lenexa Baptist Church just announced a new online registration system for its Upward Basketball program.  Lenexa Baptist was one of the featured churches in Breakout Churches in America for being recognized as one of the top evangelical churches in the country.  As Lenexa Baptist's Upward program has flourished, so did its paperwork.

Now, Lenexa Baptist has set up its Upward program through an online registration program through www.htgsports.net.  For an example of their site, look at the event portal here as well as a sample registration page here. 

By going online with HTGSports, Lenexa Baptist has produced convenience for its registrants but also its administrators.  It is simple and quick.  Administrators can export players out of HTGSports and import them directly into the Upward League Manager.  There were no set up fees either.  There are still many Upward programs that are not online so this represents a great future enhancement for the management of Upward programs.

One additional key feature of the HTGSports online program is the availability of text messaging.  Lenexa Baptist can text message updates, weather issues and the like to the participants in its program.  This text messaging feature allows for immediate updates.  The text messaging feature provides a great benefit to those mobile moms and dads who may be away from home computers yet need immediate updates.
