Futsal is one of those fast growing things.

Just recently, the 23rd U.S. Futsal National Championship concluded  on Sunday, July 13, 2008.  This the largest, oldest and and most prestigious Futsal competition.  It ended with teams from 13 different states winning medals. "This is great news", said Alex Para, President of U.S. Futsal, because it not only shows how much Futsal has grown, but  how competitive it has become all across the United States".

Futsal has grown rapidly in the United States over the past seven years.  There are now leagues and teams competing around the country.  Futsal can be traced back to Montevideo, Uruguay, in 1930 when Juan Carlos Ceriani devised a five-a-side version of soccer for youth competion in YMCAs.  The game takes place on basketball-sized courts, both indoors and out without the use of sidewalls.

With the rise of Futsal, so has the need for increased and simplified administration.  It is not surprising that we are now seeing Futsal go online.

One of the early adopters of this online approach has been John Sciore, Director - Gateway Futsal of St. Louis, National Director of Development - Super F League, Tournament Director - Super F Champions Cup - National Futsal Tournament.  John has been using HTGSports.net for his online solution.  John has been using the HTG Sports Registration system for the past 3 years in futsal leagues and also for the Super F Champions Cup - National Futsal Tournament.  He's found it to be flexible, yet easy to use.

It is crucial to have the right online system to manage teams, leagues and tournaments.  Indeed, as Futsal grows so must its online solutions.
